About Us
Packaging Calculator was created by Sanford Fitelson. Sanford is a Packaging Engineer who has been using spreadsheet formulas for years to perform everyday calculations and decided that perhaps others would find these useful. While the calculations are simple enough, the time spent performing them repeatedly seemed wasteful so he decided to automate them. This website is the result and there are many ideas in the works to make this website even more useful.

Note: If the product is a powder, use the bulk density and not the tap density. This will be your most conservative estimate. Your filler may be able to shake down the product somewhat during filling but don't rely on that. If the container will have an induction seal, address the possibility of powder on the landing which could interfere with achieving a good seal.
